| The towns of Wilmington and Jay offer natural beauty, wonderful
mountain views, scenic vistas and the AuSable River! The world renowned
trout fishing West Branch of the Ausable River runs through the little
town of Wilmington and also hosts snow making on Whiteface Mountain,
which rises from its banks. The Wilmington Beach on Lake Everest host's
picnic areas, a playground and Wednesday night concerts in the summer.
The East Branch of the Ausable River known for its famous swimming
hole at the Covered Bridge in Jay is located down the hill from
the village green and gazebo, the site of Saturday night concerts during
the summer.
Wilmington is also home to the North Pole, home of Santa's
Workshop, one of the oldest theme parks in the nation. Both towns offer
activities for people with many interests: from being surrounded by New
York State land with many hiking and mountain biking trails to being the
home of many artisans that offer their wares in small shops or via
artisan tours. |
